Bahamas Day One

We've all arrived safely in the Bahamas. Maroon and I have Internet access in our room, hopefully the first of many good beats on the trip. I've already met a ton of people in the first few hours here. It's shaping up to be a great time.

I played an $880+$20 single table satellite tonight for the main event. If you already had a seat, they paid out cash. The FIRST HAND of poker I played on the trip went like this:

- 25/50 blinds, everyone has the 3k chips they started with, UTG makes it 150, UTG+1 calls, I call with 99, both blinds call. Flop 986 with two clubs, UTG+1 bets 350, I make it 925, everyone else folds, he jams, I call, he has 98s. Nice!

I don't usually like to make deals in these things, but when we got heads up my opponent had a small chip lead and offered me more money so I took the deal and got myself rolling for what should be a good trip.

I play the second flight of the main event, which is on Friday. Tomorrow I'm going to sleep in, relax, see what cash games are going on in the poker room, and sweat some people who drew the first main event flight. More updates then.
