Bahamas: $2k NLH
Even though my wakeup call didn't come through this morning I somehow got up in time to run the $2k NL event. There were 103 entrants and I ended up making a deal four handed and taking a shade under second place money. I'm sort of upset that I agreed to the deal in hindsight, not because it was a bad deal but because I probably had an edge on the field. Oh well. The stacks weren't deep so there wasn't all that much skill involved. In any case this was a great way to end my trip and I'm feeling great about my tournament game and hoping to run some more during the next few trips that I'm taking. And to think, I was considering leaving a day early due to boredom!
After the tournament I messed around and played various card games with ZeeJustin, ThorLaden, and Empire2000. These are fine fellows, all of them. After that I headed back to the room to go to sleep but Gavin Smith accosted me in the lobby and demanded that I let him play online on my account so we did that for about three or four hours. The highlight of the night had to have been when Gavin bet all but $1 that a guy had in front of him on the turn with no hand at all and the guy called. When the guy bet $1 into the $1500 pot on the river, Gavin mucked his ten high. I told Gavin I was pretty sure this was wrong. He told me he wasn't sure, but that I might be right.

haha! That last bit was hilarious! Gotta love folding $1 into a ridiculous pot! :)
I read ZeeJustin's blog and he seems like a really level-headed guy for his age. And, a huge talent without a doubt.
Well done in the $2k!
Congrats on the finish. So during your time in the Bahamas, did you actually ever see any sunlight?
Nice work! How much did you take home with the chop?
Chris, I like your blog and read it as often as you update, and have been for awhile...but I kind of look up to you as far as were you are in your poker career...i am not making a poker career, in fact I am still in school and I work full-time, but...I wanted to ask you a couple of questions to further my game...would you answer emails or just drop me a note on my blog? Let me know...
Congrats on the finish in the 2k...
Beck, yes I got out to the beach a couple of times but I'm not a huge beach person.
Garth, I took home 30k.
Hogs, sure go ahead and email me at the address linked on my blog.
nice job sir!
I just started a poker blog - http://thepokerbeat.blogspot.com/
any advice would be useful - re generating hits, ads, readership etc. I will try to be entertaining. I'm not all that computer savvy, but I intend to create a decent blog.
