Taj $5k NLH

Matt and I drove down to AC to run the $5k NLH tournament at the Taj today. Lo and behold we both made the second day. There were 126 runners and about 53 are coming back tomorrow. I have 19k and Matt has 16k, both of which are under par (about 25k). There are were two funny hands during the first level and then nothing too noteworthy that I can think of:

- 25/50 blinds, two limpers, SB makes it 1050(?!), BB folds, first limper calls(?!), second limper folds. Flop 552, they get it all in and both have KK. Good work boys.

- Same blinds, six limpers, the button thinks he's the SB and throws in one quarter to complete the bet. The dealer tells him he owes a total of 50 to call. At this point he says "Oh, then I don't want to play." When he tries to take his quarter back, she tells him that it has to stay in the pot and he can either call a quarter more or fold and leave the quarter he threw in already in the pot. He of course decides to fold. This means he had a hand that he was happy to play from the SB for a quarter but not from the button for a quarter.

I don't think anyone is live reporting on this event or anything like that but wish us luck.

The second hand is so cool. It's cheaper in the small blind! The only reason to play on the button is that you get to play with the little plastic thingy if you get bored.

Very awesome!

Good luck, and see you in Tunica (I plan to kick your butt in TDL), lol.
