There are a number of strange things about this hand. I recognize that my calling and standing pat with two pair looks very strange. Trust me when I say I have my reasons. I'll spell it out if people are curious. What do we think happened here to this guy on the end? First of all, he didn't time out or misclick. It tells you when someone times out on UB, so that wasn't it, and you have to confirm that you want to fold TWICE when it's free for you to check. I guess he either had a very rough pat hand and decided he just couldn't win or he had a flush or straight that he didn't see when he chose to stand pat. As Maroon pointed out when we were talking about this hand tonight, wouldn't you bluff the river if you suddenly discovered that your wheel was all hearts? I know I would.

I guess this hand isn't THAT crazy. It's funny that I scooped because I pretty much have to fold if there's a bet on the river. On the turn, I can't lose the low. Who would have thunk?

Probably a light tournament schedule for me tomorrow since the Giants play an important game late in the afternoon.

limping UTG in o8 with that is a good idea?

you can't fold to a river bet, any a2 is raising the turn no? mylo isn't checking the flop with a2

i am curious about the tdl hand, i assume you patted the end to bluff, when he patted you decided to save 160 and check fold? if thats the case why not 3 bet the turn (or whatever thats called)

its kind of funny that software even gives him a fold option in that spot....god bless america

im sorry but you need to go to OMaha school. limping with with 3 to a broadway, unsuited with a bad draw to low is really bad especially in a game with any aggression in in. you basically need to hit QJ to have any chance of winning this hand. even 2 pair will often lose.

for the triple draw hand. you need to bet the river.

Wow! is that a murderers row of an omaha/8 game. I see maybe one real weak opponent for you in that game.

as other have pointed out, that is a very bad hand to limp in early position in o8.

on the river you can't fold for a bet. anyone with A2 would have raised the turn. you have second nut low and could be against high hands.

Andrew, I see at least 2 weak spots and another mediocre player in the O-8 game.

Small point, but I think that unless you check off Confirm Fold in the options menu at UB, then the software will permit inadvertent folds without confirming.

gossip gossip gossip,

I know that every player all but two are solid winning pros. I don't know much about bostoner or LPGAfan, but neither of them seem dreadful.

About the O8 hand:

- A suited ace with two broadway cards is playable, IMHO. Mark Tenner reccommends playing this hand in his O8 book, which I like a lot. Obviously people have different ideas of playable starting hands. Folding this UTG is okay.

- A few people said that A2 would obviously raise the turn. I don't think this is so obvious if you have no high draw other than your wheel draw and no backup for low. In addition you need to worry about another A2. In fact I think raising with a naked A2 here is a mistake that a lot of players make.

- About the lineup, I've just recently started playing these games, so I don't know the players too well. Some of those guys are strong players, for sure.
