Big News!
It's a big day for online multi-tablers. Today Party Poker and its skins increased the number of 30-60 hold em tables they offer from five to "however many the donkeys can fill at any given time." There were at least fifty or sixty going at times tonight. No more long waiting lists to steer the dead money to lower limits or other sites. This really is a momentous day for those of us who make a living this way. Weeeee.
I've been four-tabling for six hours now and I'm about to stop. The games have been good. They're not as good as the 15 games. There's a lot less limping and a lot more three-betting preflop. The play is more aggressive throughout. There are fewer people who are totally clueless, though still some. But of course the games don't have to be as good as the 15 games. As long as they're HALF as good, it's worth it to play them. They're certainly half as good. I booked a nice win and I'll be back for more later in the week.
There's been some talk on 2+2 that these games will be good for a certain amount of time and then will dry up as the fish go broke. We shall see. One crazy hand from tonight:
- One limper, MP raises, I call from SB with 55, BB folds, limper calls. Flop K95 with two clubs. Checked to the raiser who bets, we both call. Turn offsuit 6. Checked to the raiser who bets, I raise, limper folds, raiser calls. At this point I think he's almost surely drawing dead. River 8c, an ugly card. I bet, raiser calls and shows me KK! Wow! Where's the rest of the pot?

I think you might have just gotten in a couple of bad games. I opened up 5 tables last night and I think the play was actually worse than the 15-30. I wouldn't expect this to last for very long (once the newness wears off and the bad players thin their bankrolls), but I hope to take advantage of it while it does.
