At Least Someone in This Apartment Has Some Results
My girlfriend played two of those Party free points tournies today at the same time and finished 4th out of 1800+ in one and 6th of out 1300+ in the other. That is pretty sick. I think she should sell shares of herself on EBay and get staked in some $10Ks.
I, on the other hands, busted early @ Stars on the following hand:
- Blinds 30/60. I raise two limpers with KK, making it 130. The BB and one of the limpers call. Flop T75 rainbow. They check to me, I bet 225, and they both call. Turn 7. They both check to me. Who checks behind here? Not me. I bet 500, the BB folds, and the limper calls. River 9 and he bets 1175. Who folds here? Not me. He had fives full. Obviously sometimes you're just going to lose a lot when you have a big pair and someone flops a set, but I should have checked behind on the turn. I even said out loud, to my girlfriend, "I wonder which one of them has fives full," as I typed my bet in. Sigh.
More on that UB hand tomorrow.

It's pretty hard to read a guy for a set online. One guy could have had AT and the other could have 89, so I think you have to bet the turn.
On the river, it is hard to lay it down against an unfamiliar player, even if you expect to lose. That's another problem with trying to beat 2000 people.

Your post's title is misleading. You neglected to tell your faithful readers about your cash in the Stars 11R last night. I mean, come on, it *was* the first time you won our 11R last longer. Doesn't that mean anything to you?
Yeah, I wrote this post before the $11+R was over.
